Pick: Oakland -140
Why?
The biggest surprise of the 2010 season is pitching for the A's today. Trevor Cahill has been a stud this whole season holding a 13-5 record with a whip under 1 and an era of 2.54. Oakland has been on a bit of a role winning 5 of their past 7 games, including a 5-0 win over the Indians last night. With the limited offense the A's have they always manage to score somehow; whether it is a the long ball or taking advantage of the other team's mistakes they always manage to score. The A's have won 5 of the 7 meetings this season between these teams and with Cahill on the mound, don't expect that to change.
The Indians have lost 6 of their past 7 games and those games weren't even close. Today they send Mitch Talbot to the mound who holds a 8-10 record with an era of 4.23. In his past 3 starts he has failed to pitch 5 innings and hasn't pitched at least 6 innings since June 27. With a bullpen that has an era of 4.22, that is not good news.
Yesterday's underdog picked worked out for all of us bringing my record to 8-2. My advice for today's pick is to bet this asap because the line will be getting bigger in favor of the A's. By game time the line might be closer to -160. In a betting market that gives the casino's an approximate 10% advantage, every amount of juice you pay counts. Take this bet quickly and early. Good luck to all and thanks for the support!
Record: [8-2]
