Pick of the Day August 26: Detroit (63-64) at Toronto (66-60)

I would like to begin this post by making a comment regarding yesterday's birthday special pick. No bet is a guarantee, if it was than it wouldn't be gambling. My job as a sports handicapper is to analyze the bets and find a bet that has value and the most probability of winning. Yesterday's Tiger game was the perfect example of a perfect bet..on paper. Sports aren't played on paper. I promise to give the best picks everyday that have value and a great chance of winning and you can see that with my record however there will be some times where a bet; no matter how good it is will not work out. Thanks for the support and check out the new website http://prolineexperts.webs.com/

Pick: Toronto -142
why?

The Blue Jays are coming off a very impressive series victory over the Yankees in which the hit a lot of homeruns like we are used to seeing. Tonight they are playing against a hard throwing right handed pitcher. Hard throwing right hander + Jays line up = Homeruns! The Jays send out arguably their best pitcher this season in Ricky Romero. When Ricky is pitching, you know what you can except and with a Tigers lineup that struggles against left handed pitchers only batting .215 in the past 10 games, that is great news for the Jays.

The Tigers are coming off a disappointing loss against the Royals. In that game last night they used 6 different pitchers. With their bullpen already struggling greatly they will need to rely on Max Sherzer heavily. Sherzer has been great in his past few starts however the Jays love playing against right handed pitchers that have a mean fastball. If things go south you can expect Sherzer to start walking Jays batters that don't mind taking a free pass and with the treat of homeruns, that isn't a good thing.

Record: [9-3]
