Why?
The D-Backs send Joe Saunders to the hill tonight to face off against the Astros. A quick glance at Saunder's stats will show you he isn't having a great season; however you must look deep into those stats. If you look deep you can see that he is going pretty well at Chase Field this season with a 3.70ERA in 29 innings pitched. The D-Backs are only batting .251 against right handed pitchers this season. Also you may want to know that their star outfielder Justin Upton will likely sit out tonight's game.
The Astros will struggle tonight against Saunders as they do against all lefties, batting .230 in the past 2 weeks. The only bright spot on the Astros has been their pitching, to be more specific; their bullpen. Since the All Star break they have arguably the most dominant bullpen in the league. If starter Bud Norris does get into trouble, the Astros have a strong enough bullpen to save him. Let's finish this post off with a huge stat: The last 12 Houston games have gone under the total.
